Working with County Department of Health Services to examine and address workplace culture and climate issues

CLIENT: Sacramento County Department of Health Services | PROJECT LENGTH: 12 months

Emerging after Covid, the Sacramento County Department of Health Services found their workforce across four Divisions splintered into those who teleworked, those who came in person, and those who worked some kind of hybrid schedule. They needed to understand how their workforce was doing. Are they engaged? Do they feel supported? Are they connected to the overarching mission of the Department?

Clarity designed a process, tools, and action plans for the county Department to examine and attend to changing workplace culture and climate issues.

The process includes initial input sessions with all levels of staff across each of 4 Department Divisions which will result in a Department-wide Organizational Culture Survey. Findings will be summarized and shared back with staff and recommendations will be collaboratively developed based on survey findings. Action planning sessions will be designed and facilitated by Clarity and a final report with planning next steps will be developed to guide each Division through recommended and prioritized changes.
